		WINNEBAGO DEAL/Flight Of The Raven
		After a couple of years away Winnebago Deal are back back back in the panda jungle. First came the ‘Plata O Plomo’ mini-album on fierce panda in 2003. Then came their debut album, ‘Dead Gone’ on Double Dragon. Now comes the follow-up, ‘Flight Of The Raven’. Which rocks. Rockingly. Flight Of The Raven’ was recorded in Seattle with Jack Endino – a man so cool he produced ‘Touch Me, I’m Sick’ and ‘Bleach’. Fifteen tracks of tub-thumping, hair-shaking, amp-quaking, guitar-grappling, larynx-shredding, lynx-licking stonerockmetalmayhem it is, too. More than that, ‘Flight Of The Raven’ is the sound of a band with morals and integrity just hitting their stride, learning how far they can stretch their dynamics before snapping, seeing how many gigs they can do stuffed into a van and crashing on continental floors before cracking. "Flight Of The Raven" is out on Fierce Panda on cd on July 10th.

		WRECKLESS ERIC/Whole Wide World 4 England
		Link arms, wave scarves and kiss the Three Lions badge on your replica shirt people because here comes a football song for football fans. “Whole Wide World 4 England” sees New Wave neo-legend Wreckless Eric reactivate his own classic tune with spectacular results. Other so-called ‘official’ World Cup songs can barely even bring themselves to mention the beautiful game, but ‘Whole Wide World 4 England’ makes no such apologies, bulging as it is with name checks for England soccer heroes past and present and the uproarious sound of the soccer crowd. “Whole Wide World 4 England” is out on Fierce Panda on limited edition 7” vinyl and CD on June 12th.

		‘Before The Curtains Close’ (Dance To The Radio), ‘A Rook House For Bobby’ (Kids Recordings) and ‘Terra Nova’ (Fierce Panda). Consider that those previous releases have concerned themselves with the plight of Grandmasters and Scott of the Antarctic’s final doomed mission and you’ll soon realise that the quintet’s uniquely beautiful soundscapes and rousing songs are brimming over with exceptional characters and historical events - a fitting accompaniment to the iLiKETRAiNS neo-legendary live set, where the band dress in matching British Rail uniforms and play colossal chords in front of a backdrop of antiquated images of trains, snow and chess.
